Welcome
In ancient greek and roman temples the pronao was a small liminal space between the front columns and the most sacred space of the temple, the naos or cella: a threshold of transition, where the light softened and the eyes eased into the darkness.
I chose this title because this will be a space for questions rather than answers—a place where my thoughts on Mirionima, my current project, can take shape, and where future ones might begin to emerge. Here I’ll share my creative process, fragments of books I’m reading, and the traces that lead me towards each image.
My wish for myself is to resist the pull of perfectionism, to allow this space to be one of openness rather than hesitation. I want to share my process as it unfolds, without waiting for it to be polished or complete: some posts will be raw notes from the studio, some will be deep dives into mythology, history, and art that fuel Mirionima, others might be simple fragments—an image, a quote, a thread of thought waiting to be woven into something larger.
More than just a place to gather and organize my research and work, I hope this becomes a way to foster connections and a sense of community—something I’ve struggled to do on other social platforms.
